The manufacture of film is environmentally friendly, as the process converts several existing products into a new product form. The cost of window film compares favorably to double glazing, tinted and reflective glass and shading devices. It can be applied to new windows, or retrofit to existing ones, both residentially and commercially. Film are designed to survive the harsh New Zealand climate, with scratch resistant coatings for protection and metallic layers for colour stability.
